Frequently Asked Questions

Do luxury hotels actually have rooms that fit a family of five?

Some do, most don't — at least not the way they're marketed. Many "family rooms" or "family suites" are built for two adults and two children, not five people. Part of my job is knowing, property by property, which rooms genuinely have the layout, connecting doors, or square footage to work for five — before you book, not after you arrive.

Why not just book directly with the hotel?

You can, but you're relying on the hotel's own description of a room they're incentivized to sell. I work directly with a small group of European luxury properties — Rosewood, Four Seasons, COMO, Rocco Forte, and select independents — where I know the actual configurations and can secure rates, upgrades, and amenities you won't get booking on your own.

What destinations do you cover?

Primarily Italy, France, and Switzerland, with experience across Tuscany, Puglia, Florence, the Amalfi Coast, Annecy, Vevey, Aix-en-Provence, and Paris, among others. If you're considering a European destination not listed here, ask — I likely have context on it.What does it cost to work with you? That depends on the level of service. I offer three tiers: full itinerary design (every detail handled), an itinerary framework (I build the structure, you fill in the day-to-day), and hotel booking only (you've chosen the destination, I secure the right room and the perks that come with it). Costs vary by trip; reach out for specifics.

How far in advance should we book?

For peak season (June–August) at in-demand properties, 9–12 months out is ideal — the best-configured rooms are the first to sell. For shoulder season or less in-demand destinations, 4–6 months is usually workable, though earlier is always better for securing the exact room you want.

Do you only work with families of five?

Families of five are the specialty and where the room-configuration expertise is most valuable, but I also work with families of four. If you're outside that range, reach out and I'll let you know if it's a fit.

What's included when you book a hotel for us?

Beyond the room itself, I typically secure perks that aren't available booking direct — upgrades when available, breakfast, welcome amenities, and a direct line to me if anything comes up during your stay.

Can you help with more than just hotels — restaurants, activities, guides?

Yes, at the full itinerary design level. That includes restaurant reservations, activity bookings, private drivers where useful, and day-by-day planning, not just the hotel.

What if something goes wrong during the trip?

You have a direct line to me throughout your trip, not a call center. If a room isn't what was promised or plans need to shift, I'm the one handling it.

How do we get started?

Start an Itinerary — a short intake form, followed by a direct conversation about your family, your destination thinking, and timing.
